[woodz]Łódz is our City of Lights: the home of Polish film making industry with its esteemed Łódź Film School and the host of the Light Move Festival. Multiple light structures constructed for the event shed colourful lights on city buildings transforming everyday reality into an out of this world experience. Amp it up by sightseeing at night speeding between colourful buildings on rollerblades. Łódź also is the former base of the local textile industry. Sometimes called the ‘Manchester of Poland’ with first ever cotton mill opened in 1827. Historic red-brick factory buildings have since been transformed into impressive New York style lofts, a must-see for every visitor.
